What the job involves
- Support highly transactional SQL Server database platforms in Azure (IaaS and PaaS) and on-prem
- Work independently in ticket resolution and incident response with minimal supervision
- Implement support and guide the management of SQL Server Database Systems Reporting Services Analysis Services and Integration Services to support FinThrive applications
- Hands-on performance tuning identify where the bottleneck is and work with developers and Infrastructure team to fix it
- Monitor and troubleshoot database instances
- Perform root-cause analysis
- Identify opportunities for improved system performance assist development teams with implementation
- Develop process for optimizing database security
- Manage database access
- Drive the on-going management evolution improvement and automation of DBA procedures
