Remote Staff Product Designer Job in UK Deel

Who you are

• Passionate about design
• Fast learner
• Experienced in mentoring product designers
• Minimum 5-7 years as a product designer in a fast-paced environment (ideally scale-up/start-up)
• Currently working as a Staff Product Designer or similar with 1-2 years leading design in a fast-paced environment
• Strong knowledge and practice in both UX and UI
• Good knowledge of Payroll and fintech
• Experienced in design systems
• Autonomous force multiplier for team and designers
• Know when to go deep on a task and when to execute
• Experienced being embedded into a development team with light touch from the product manager
• Comfortable with end-to-end development process from ideation to design QA
• Located in EMEA or LATAM time zones

What the job involves

• Thoroughly analyze customers' and business problems to identify key pain points
• Develop impactful and elegant solutions to identified problems
• Ensure cohesion in product development by connecting missing dots from a high-level perspective
• Update acceptance criteria and define underlying logic
• Take full ownership from ideation, design, review, feedback, testing, and post-release evaluation
• Co-lead the team with Product Managers and Developers
• Provide mentorship and feedback to designers within the team
• Perform design reviews, guide vision alignment, and ensure quality within design standards
• Work across multiple platforms including employee and employer portals, and admin dashboard for support
• Maintain design quality and manage design work for one or more product teams depending on complexity
