Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of structural analysis and Finite Element Analysis methods
  • HNC HND minimum qualification
  • BSc BEng or MEng in Structural Engineering Mechanical Engineering or equivalent preferred
  • Good understanding of Eurocodes and relevant international structural design standards
  • Experience in steel structure design and structural optimisation
  • Understanding of structural dynamics fatigue and vibration behaviour under cyclic wind loading
  • Structural analysis and calculation software knowledge would be an advantage

Day to day

  • Produce structural and mechanical designs for utility-scale solar PV and BESS projects while ensuring compliance with UK and international standards
  • Perform structural calculations and Finite Element Analysis for mounting systems steel structures trackers and mechanical components
  • Analyse and optimise structures under varied loading conditions and support technical design reviews documentation supplier assessments and project delivery
