Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Associate Degree in Computer Science MIS or equivalent and continued field specific education
- 3-5 years practical experience in computer operations applications and/or technical support or information security
- Keen interest and aptitude for problem identification and resolution
- Full understanding of operating system hardware software network components security and/or database management system
- Ability to provide exact audit trials and recovery points during project life cycles to ensure maximum system stability
- Ability to work cooperatively with technical and non-technical system users and industry vendors
- Good listening ability and the ability to competently train others
- Willingness to respond to problems with little notice and adjust off hours scheduling
- Be accountable and respond when reached out to for assistance during and outside of typical work hours including off-hour call list

Day to day
- Support enterprise databases across multiple platforms including Db2 Microsoft SQL Server Postgres and Hive
- Perform database maintenance access changes performance tuning and recovery planning to keep systems stable and secure
- Partner with application teams developers and data scientists to improve data structures query performance and operational best practices
- Research recommend and implement database tools standards and architectures while contributing to disaster recovery testing and ongoing optimization
