Remote Systems Engineer - Fire & Security Job in Middlesbrough, UK G4S

Who you are

• Previous electro-mechanical experience
• Minimum 5 years' experience installing & servicing access control, CCTV, and intruder alarm systems
• Experience installing and servicing fire alarm systems, ideally GENT
• IT or Electrical/Electronic qualification
• Broad technical IT knowledge, including Windows OS and networking
• Knowledge of basic electrical principles for measuring voltage and current drain
• Good attention to detail for accurate paperwork and procedure adherence
• Enthusiastic team player able to work under pressure professionally

What the job involves

• Attend to maintenance calls, both on-site and by telephone, following team coordinators' directions
• Rectify faults on initial visit where possible
• Conduct ongoing preventative maintenance visits
• Collect and record site configuration information
• Maintain car stock levels and accurate records
• Provide out-of-hours cover on a rotating basis
• Commission small projects as needed
• Audit quality procedures and provide training to customers and colleagues
• Perform additional tasks as required
