Requirements

  • HNC level or equivalent in a relevant aviation subject
  • Recognised engineering apprenticeship with aircraft maintenance and overhaul experience
  • Detailed knowledge of EAGLE/EPS
  • Knowledge of rotary wing aircraft preferably Merlin or Wildcat
  • Minimum 3 years experience as a technical author
  • Detailed knowledge of supportability and air publication specifications including ASD S1000D Def-Stan 00-60 and S2000M
  • Good working knowledge of Simplified Technical English ASD-STE-100
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work to changing deadlines under pressure
  • Flexibility to work independently and as part of a team

Day to day

  • Create edit and maintain technical documents in EAGLE/EPS including CMM AMM and IPC.
  • Populate illustrated parts data and produce technical documentation to required quality and specifications.
  • Support verification validation quality control and timely delivery of publications and technical data.
