Who you are

  • Must care deeply about functional written communication
  • Should be a technical writer with a programmer's mindset or vice versa
  • Requires a history of community engagement in open-source software, documentation, or other areas
  • Needs to understand the challenges of open-source software communities
  • Must exhibit technical curiosity and a strong interest in software technology challenges
  • Should have demonstrable documentation skills and enthusiasm
  • Experiences in software development contexts needed; familiar with Linux, command line, application deployment, and Git
  • Needs excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Should possess a BSc/BA degree or equivalent
  • Able to travel biannually for events

What the job involves

  • Create, maintain, and improve software documentation
