Who you are

  • Cares deeply about functional written communication.
  • Has a programmer mindset with a record of producing excellent documentation.
  • Demonstrates community engagement in open-source software, research, or similar fields.
  • Is technically curious and passionate about software technology.
  • Has experience in software development contexts and is familiar with Linux, command line, application deployment, Git, and documentation markup languages.
  • Holds a BSc/BA degree or equivalent experience.
  • Is able to travel internationally twice a year for up to two weeks.

What the job involves

  • Create, maintain and improve software documentation.
  • Work with engineering team members to help them make effective documentation contributions.
  • Influence the development of the product as an expert user.
  • Engage with user communities to ensure the documentation meets their needs.
  • Encourage and support community engagement in documentation.
  • Standardize structure, presentation, style, and language of content across products.
  • Collaborate with peers to advance documentation practices.
  • Challenge and advance documentation understanding and best practices.
