- 5+ years of software engineering experience
- Production experience building shipping and operating systems
- Strong technical foundation for architecture discussions
- End-to-end ownership of technical problems
- Experience working across multiple customer environments

- Ability to track and surface technical debt
- Strong written communication and documentation skills
- Production relational database experience
- Solid understanding of joins aggregations indexing and query optimisation
- Experience shipping TypeScript features to production
- Confidence with Node.js and Python
- Experience with Kubernetes or similar orchestration
- Comfortable with Docker
- Understanding of Infrastructure as Code
- Worked with Terraform Helm or similar tooling
- Experience with Azure or AWS or GCP
- Understanding of observability in production
- Experience with CI/CD tooling and pipeline maintenance
- Strong networking fundamentals including firewalls DNS VPNs and access control
- Interest in AI-assisted tooling for deployment testing or operations
- Track record working with NHS organisations
- Hands-on experience with healthcare data
- Experience in a startup or scale-up environment

Day to day
- Lead technical implementation of software into customer environments, including infrastructure provisioning and application deployment
- Own post-deployment configuration and ongoing technical health across live environments, monitoring performance and diagnosing issues
- Coordinate closely with customers and internal engineers to unblock delivery, explain trade-offs clearly, and ensure stable releases
