Remote Technical Engineer - Fire Resistance Job in UK Element Materials Technology

Who you are

• Experience in TIC business or fire industry, building materials, materials science, product installation, engineering, construction, product certification.
• Degree in engineering/construction-related field or relevant industry experience.
• Professional membership with an engineering institution, preferably IFE and recognition by the Engineering Council.
• Able to read and understand technical drawings, design codes, and product standards.
• Remote role within the UK.

What the job involves

• Undertake analysis of results from fire resistance testing and produce product assessments.
• Judge relevance and impact of test data, provide advice, and produce technical and classification reports.
• Plan and lead scope analysis and test programs.
• Continuously develop knowledge in National, European, and International Standards.
• Lead and contribute to standards development and represent the company on committees and public platforms.
• Project manage workload from enquiry to delivery, ensuring customer care and expectation management.
