Remote Technical/Solution Architect Job in UK Amber Labs

• Deep understanding of AWS and Java technologies
• Experience in public sector projects
• Ability to bridge technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Listen to and interpret needs of stakeholders
• Design systems with medium levels of risk, impact, and complexity
• Work with and challenge senior stakeholders
• Engage in prototyping team activities
• Establish and iterate design patterns
• API and Event-Based architecture design patterns
• Architect event-based architecture across data centres and clouds
• API Gateway and micro-gateway capabilities
• Agile/DevOps methodologies
• Microservice and API-Led architecture tools and techniques
• Cloud technologies, hosting, container, and networking design patterns
• COTS solutions and relational databases
• Extensive public sector experience
• GDS (Government Digital Service) experience
• Experience with vendors and suppliers
• Whitemail experience

What the job involves

• Lead, deliver, and support the technical design of products to meet user needs and business objectives
• Ensure high quality of technical design adhering to enterprise architecture principles
• Collaborate with agile delivery teams to create value-for-money solution designs
• Engage with Enterprise Architects, Domain Architects, Lead Solution Architects, and engineering teams to implement agreed architecture designs
• Be accountable for product architecture alignment with engineering
• Identify, capture, share, and iterate architecture patterns for consistent designs
• Implement architecture patterns and create reference architectures
• Create solution options during project discovery to drive decision-making
• Make technology choices in conjunction with enterprise architecture blueprint
• Contribute to building an inclusive digital culture
