Remote Technical Writer Job in Manchester, UK Elastic

Who you are

• Minimum of 3 years experience in a SaaS IT or developer-focused environment.
• Strong skills in writing customer-facing documentation for technical products.
• Proactive attitude excellent attention to detail and strong grammar and sentence structure skills.
• Comfortable with learning new concepts and using Git and GitHub.
• Experience with Markdown Asciidoc or similar lightweight markup languages.

What the job involves

• Collaborate with Elastic engineers and other teams to document new features.
• Produce how-tos tutorials user guides and other aids for the knowledge base.
• Follow Elastic's Git-based software development process and manage documentation edits.
• Identify and improve problem areas in documentation and ensure accuracy and consistency.
