Who you are

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a technical writing role within a SaaS IT or developer-focused company.
• Strong proficiency in Markdown Asciidoc or similar lightweight markup language.
• Ability to read and understand code in at least one programming language.
• Proven capability to work independently in a dynamic fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable using Git and GitHub for documentation purposes.
• Experience with technical documentation lifecycle from development to maintenance.

What the job involves

• Draft and refine documentation for Elastic products including Elasticsearch and Kibana.
• Collaborate with Elastic engineers marketing support and fellow writers to enhance user experience.
• Use Git and GitHub to follow and contribute to Elastic's software development process.
• Test products and their documentation for consistency and accuracy.
• Contribute improvements to documentation structure and content.
