Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university
- Minimum of eight years of technical writer experience supporting programs or contracts of similar scope type and complexity
- Master's degree in a related technical discipline may substitute for two years of experience
- Four additional years of qualifying technical writer experience may substitute for a bachelor's degree
- Current security clearance or eligibility to obtain one
- U.S. citizen eligible for a security clearance

Day to day
- Prepare and maintain technical publications user guides training materials and manuals for complex software systems and operational environments
- Translate highly technical information into clear accurate documentation for both technical and non-technical audiences
- Collaborate closely with engineers developers and subject matter experts to produce high-quality documentation and maintain current internal libraries
- Develop defense acquisition documentation interpret engineering drawings and apply required technical writing standards across the project lifecycle
