Who you are

  • Advanced knowledge of Linux
  • You're a self-motivated, quick learner with the confidence to seek guidance in unfamiliar situations
  • Experience with tools such as GitHub, Docker, JUnit/TestNG, Postman, Jenkins and VMs
  • Ability to write test cases to a high quality standard
  • You're familiar with basic software architecture and able to identify test and integration points
  • Some experience with an object-oriented language (preferably JavaScript or TypeScript)
  • Ability to estimate own work and manage time effectively
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to balance priorities and follow company processes
  • Experience in Bash scripting
  • Knowledge of Node.JS and AWS is advantageous
  • Experience in code reviews and working in agile is desirable
  • High availability and flexibility, with a willingness to learn and teach new tools or processes
  • We want to hear from you about ideas or tooling to make our processes better
  • It would be great if you had experience working with fleets of Internet of Things (IoT) hardware or similar.

Desirables

What the job involves

  • Handle complex technical issues ensuring thorough documentation and maintaining high standards of customer interaction
  • Work with focused self-sufficient agile teams and develop solutions from the ground up
  • Act as a technical SME for the third line support requests coming into QA
  • Ensure tests are well-documented, repeatable, and supportive of development and supplier chains
  • Contribute to implementing automation, via well-written documentation and test cases, to speed up test coverage
  • Help others to learn and grow, contributing to a successful QA and CS community
