Remote UI Architect Job in UK Sophos

Who you are

• Track record of successfully leading and delivering large complex projects
• Define technical strategies/architecture and create technical designs impacting multiple teams and projects
• Proven experience as a UI Architect with a focus on React, Angular Framework, and Cloud-based development
• Balanced architectural needs with business dynamics for development direction
• Respected mentor and technical advisor for Engineers and Managers, training others in best engineering practices
• Designed and developed complete software features or components, solving product-wide issues
• Collaborate with senior leadership across all departments to influence and deliver on Sophos objectives
• Enforce coding standards, conduct code reviews, and implement best practices
• Bachelor's in Computer Software, Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent experience
• Occasional travel to engineering offices
• Available for voice and video conferences to suit core hours/time zones of remote product development sites

• Knowledgeable in all product-relevant technologies
• Agile software development methodologies experience
• Build external alliances with customers and industry experts
• Awareness of industry trends in cybersecurity
• Fluent in more than one relevant programming language
• Strong knowledge of Endpoint detection, EDR, MDR, analytics-based security and security threat landscape

What the job involves

• Provide technical thought leadership, tactical advice, and strategic direction to the Central platform UI design team
• Guide designers, developers, UX team, and product managers throughout the product delivery cycle
• Align work with Sophos's strategic goals across all Central hosted applications considering ACE and SASE paradigms
