Associate or Bachelor’s degree; Associate degree can be substituted with 2 additional years of relevant experience; Or Bachelor’s degree can be substituted with 4 additional years of relevant experience
4-6 years of IT experience as UI/UX designer
Knowledge of design concepts including interface design, prototyping, and design systems development
Proficiency with design tools like Sketch or Adobe XD
Follow best practices and standards
Ability to articulate design requirements to the development team
Understanding of Web Development best practices (HTML5, CSS3)
Ability to maintain a big-picture vision while defining detailed requirements
Ability to communicate technical expertise to management and others
Ability to apply and provide feedback on service operation model and practices
Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
Exceptional customer service skills
Strong written and oral communication skills
US Citizenship and ability to obtain a federal Public Trust
Desirables
Experience with single-page applications and REST API
Human-Centered Design (HCD) experience
Experience in product decisions from definition to release
Experience with federal government systems and projects
Experience implementing 508 Compliance

Support & implement UI/UX design modifications based on feedback in an agile environment
Participate in product decisions from definition to release
Collaborate with product owners, scrum team, and stakeholders to understand and define requirements for new and existing features
Work with developers to validate features during sprints and improve designs based on user research and testing
Contribute to development of best practices and standards used by product and engineering teams
