Requirements
- Experience in Public relations, communications, or journalism
- Writing and editing press releases and other media content
- Media relations, including pitching stories and securing media coverage
- Working with social media platforms and understanding their role in PR
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Day to day
- Develop and execute public relations strategies to increase awareness of our charity’s mission
- Write and distribute press releases, articles, and other media materials
- Build and maintain relationships with journalists, bloggers, and influencers
- Manage and respond to media inquiries in a timely and professional manner
- Assist in organizing and promoting charity events and campaigns
- Collaborate with our social media and marketing teams to ensure cohesive messaging across all platforms
