Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or certification in finance accounting or related field; CPA MAC or MBA preferred
  • Thorough knowledge of GAAP and FASB as applied to nonprofits
  • High level of financial and analytical skills with knowledge of nonprofit financial policies and systems
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience including nonprofit experience
  • At least 5 years of managerial experience leading and mentoring staff in a high-growth environment
  • Proven track record in planning financial management and operational oversight
  • Strong interest in and commitment to the mission and goals of Active Minds
  • Must have QuickBooks Online experience
  • ERP and other accounting software experience a plus
  • Salesforce experience a plus

Day to day

  • Lead the organization’s finance, technology, and business operations functions with strategic oversight and hands-on execution
  • Direct financial planning, budgeting, reporting, audit coordination, and investment support for a mission-driven nonprofit
  • Supervise cross-functional teams and strengthen systems, policies, and processes to improve efficiency, accountability, and organizational performance
