Who you are

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud and related technologies
  • Experience with F5 LTM or Avi load balancers
  • Some knowledge of Siteminder and security products helpful
  • Some knowledge of Linux and Apache
  • Experience using ServiceNow ITIL managed processes
  • Installing and supporting Microsoft IIS Webservers
  • Installing and supporting WebSphere Application Server
  • Troubleshooting Web Environments including tools like Fiddler, Wireshark, Dynatrace
  • Managing IaaS and PaaS in Microsoft Azure
  • Solid working knowledge of load balancers such as Avi, F5 LTM, Netscaler
  • Experience with PowerShell and/or Python
  • In-depth knowledge of server technologies employed hardware, O/S, and related tools and applications
  • Advanced technical diagnostic and research skills
  • Ability to identify and escalate issues to management when appropriate to meet SLA requirements
  • Good foundational knowledge of networking components and services such as TCP/IP protocols, DHCP and DNS technologies
  • Ability to assess risks and take actions to restore services in system outages
  • Ability to explain technical implications of solutions to management



What the job involves

  • Responsible for provisioning, installation/configuration, operation and maintenance of systems hardware, software, and related infrastructure within the Assurant Web Hosting environment both on premises and in the cloud.
  • Provide guidance to less experienced engineers.
  • Support for global administration and distributed computing systems including Cloud and on Premises.
  • Ensure the global stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the systems and infrastructure that support core organizational functions.
  • Provide direct global technical leadership and support for requirements in releases, upgrades, or changes to our distributed computing environment.
  • Participate in after-hours, on-call rotation for incident handling and troubleshooting Web Hosting infrastructure issues.
