Remote Workday Finance Reporting Manager Job in Chicago, IL RSM US LLP

Who you are

• Bachelor's degree and a minimum of seven years of experience, including business analyst and project management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Aptitude in learning and mastering report writing tools
• Knowledge of commonly used reports for Finance, Management reporting, Billing, Variance Analysis
• Proficient with Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Ability to create consolidated reports by combining data from multiple sources
• Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills
• Ability to prioritize workload and execute tasks independently
• Demonstrated ability to plan, meet deadlines, and manage competing priorities
• Strong written and oral communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
• Proficient in Workday reporting including Calculated Fields, Advanced, Matrix, Trending and Composite
• Demonstrated knowledge of Workday dashboards, worksheets, and embedded analytics
• SQL knowledge
• Experience with Workday
• Background in identifying, designing, testing, and deploying reports in an ERP system
• Background in understanding Workday data for building reports
• Finance functional background, ideally in Public Accounting or similar Professional services firms

Desirables

• Workday Report Writing certifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or Accounting
• 4+ years of Workday Report Writer
• Workday PRISM, BIRT, Worksheets, Advanced, Matrix and Composite reporting experience

What the job involves

• The Workday Finance Reporting Manager is responsible for all work activities associated with the design, build, test, and deployment of Workday reports, including management of the review and sign-off process with Workday Functional Leads and business subject matter experts (SMEs).
• The Manager will work with the Finance Data and Analytics Director to understand the proposed design of the Workday solution and the impact on providing reports to users.
• This role also involves collaborating with Functional Leads and SMEs to gather reporting requirements and build new custom reports using Workday reporting functionality.
