About Jill's House
Jill’s House, Inc., is a 501 (C)(3) non - profit organization that provides respite for children with intellectual disabilities and their families in the greater Washington, DC area. We serve boys and girls, ages 6-17, with a physical, emotional or intellectual disability without regard to race, religion, ethnicity, gender, or financial means. We provide short-term overnight care, social activities and a range of therapeutic activities for children with disabilities, providing the primary caregivers with the opportunity to rest. Our staff includes child care specialists, qualified medical and administrative personnel, and volunteers who are trusted and fully equipped to care for these kids. Our respite program provides options to families that meet their unique needs and strengthen the family unit, such as including siblings to overnight care when appropriate and desired. In addition, we have Weekend Adventures programs held in Virginia, Chicago, Seattle, New Jersey, and Nashville. These programs focus on giving kids with intellectual disabilities an exciting outdoor experience. For more information, please go to our website! www.jillshouse.org
