Remote Accounting Manager Job in London, UK Duetto

Who you are

• Strong understanding of US GAAP required
• CPA preferred
• 8+ years participating in an accounting close
• 3+ years of direct supervisory experience required
• Is a self-starter who can work independently to achieve productivity goals
• Works well with group problem-solving situations
• Contributes to building a positive and productive relationship with the team
• Effectively manages time by prioritizing, planning, and scheduling work activities
• English language is a must
• German and Spanish Language preferred, but not required

What the job involves

• Manage the month-end close and provide mentorship and leadership to the team
• Lead the close and consolidation process across functional teams
• Drive the close cycle automation initiative to condense the close cycle, reduce manual work, and improve controllership
• Manage intercompany activities and transfer pricing compliance
• Prepare and review financial statements conforming to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Manage global sales tax, VAT, and other tax filing schedules and compliance.
• Support external tax CPAs by providing financial information, supporting documents, and work papers, as well as reviewing tax returns
• Manage annual audits and statutory compliance schedule
• Maintain adequate internal controls for the financial close and consolidation process
