How Remoteville sources and maintains jobs

How remote roles are sourced, organised, kept current and corrected on Remoteville.

01

How roles are sourced

Remoteville collects roles from public job sources and from employers using the platform. Automated processing organises the information employers publish into fields such as requirements, skills, salary and location eligibility. A listing on Remoteville is not a guarantee of employment, and applicants should confirm material details with the employer.

02

What remote-only means

We include jobs represented by their source as remote and surface office, hybrid or geographic conditions when they are available in the listing. Because employer policies can change, candidates should verify the expected working arrangement before accepting an offer.

03

Geographic restrictions

Remote does not always mean worldwide. Country, region and timezone requirements are retained from available listing data and displayed as hiring eligibility rather than as an office location. Missing restrictions are not treated as proof that a role accepts applicants everywhere.

04

Freshness and expiry

We use the employer's explicit closing date when one is available. Otherwise, a listing expires four months after its posting date. Expired roles are removed from active job results and the active job sitemap, and their pages are marked so search engines do not continue indexing them as open opportunities.

05

Salary handling

Salary values and currencies are presented from the listing data available to Remoteville. We do not combine currencies in category salary ranges, and we only show an aggregate range when at least three current listings share a currency. Unless a listing says otherwise, candidates should confirm pay period, tax basis, equity and total compensation with the employer.

06

What vetted company means

Vetted means that Remoteville has enough company and listing information to publish a usable profile and has applied its listing checks. It does not mean that Remoteville has audited every company, guarantees its conduct or endorses every statement it makes.

07

Paid employer services

Remoteville offers paid services to employers. Payment may provide product features or visibility, but it does not turn advertising copy into an independent endorsement and does not exempt a listing from freshness and correction rules.

08

Editorial corrections and reporting

Automated extraction can get details wrong. If a role is closed, misleading, duplicated or incorrectly parsed, please report it to Remoteville. Employers may use the same route to request a factual correction. We review reported inaccuracies and update or remove content where appropriate; substantive corrections take priority over cosmetic changes.
