Requirements

  • Strong Python programming and hands-on experience with core ML/AI libraries such as scikit-learn TensorFlow or PyTorch
  • Practical experience developing training and evaluating machine learning NLP and predictive models
  • Experience deploying AI and ML solutions in the cloud particularly Microsoft Azure including Azure AI ML Azure AI Foundry and Azure OpenAI
  • Working knowledge of Generative AI large language models and prompt engineering
  • Understanding of MLOps practices including deployment monitoring governance retraining and lifecycle management
  • Solid data engineering skills across structured and unstructured data
  • Awareness of responsible AI data governance and security
  • Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience in a consulting or client-facing delivery environment

Day to day

  • Design and deploy scalable AI and machine learning solutions for UK public sector clients across Defence Government and Security
  • Build production-ready predictive analytics NLP and Generative AI services that turn complex structured and unstructured data into trusted insights
  • Collaborate with engineers analysts consultants and client stakeholders to translate operational challenges into secure responsible AI solutions
  • Develop reusable AI accelerators improve MLOps capabilities and contribute to proposals demonstrations proof-of-concepts and thought leadership
