Remote Android Mobile Engineer Job in United States Gusto

Who you are

• 4+ years Mobile software engineering experience
• At least 2 years Kotlin-Android software engineering experience
• Strong communication and cross-functional partnership skills
• Experience with Android testing frameworks and best practices
• Familiarity with mobile infrastructure such as CI/CD, automated test environments, build & release systems
• Experience in constructing platform and common components
• Self-driven mindset

Desirables

• High-quality code delivery
• Strong knowledge of Compose, GraphQL
• Proficiency with MVVM architecture
• Familiarity with analytics and monitoring tools
• Comfortable setting team milestones and deliverables

What the job involves

• Develop features & functionality for Gusto's native Android app
• Own and scale shared services
• Work closely with partner teams such as product-apps, security, system design, and infrastructure
• Build, test, and refine core services like push-notification system, localization, etc
• Improve and maintain mobile infrastructure, including build-pipelines, testing automation, release process
• Collaborate with product management, design, and mobile product engineering teams to resolve technical and customer pain points
