Requirements
- 8 to 10 years of experience in API development, data engineering, and cloud migration, with a proven track record of leading large-scale cloud modernization projects.
- Cloud certifications (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, etc.) are highly desirable.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Familiarity with Databricks, Kafka, or similar data engineering tools.
- Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Strong experience with API development frameworks and tools (e.g., Swagger, Postman, Apigee, Azure API Management).
- Expertise in modern cloud-native architecture, including microservices, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and serverless computing.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or .NET.
- Extensive experience in data engineering, including ETL processes, data pipelines, and big data technologies.
- Deep understanding of cloud migration strategies, including re-hosting, re-platforming, and re-architecting.
- Strong knowledge of API security best practices, including OAuth, JWT, and encryption.
- Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing complex projects from inception to completion.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Day to day
- Design and oversee the development of scalable, secure, and high-performance APIs tailored for cloud environments.
- Lead the migration of on-premise applications to cloud platforms, ensuring minimal disruption and alignment with business goals.
- Provide technical guidance to the development team, ensuring adherence to best practices in API development, cloud architecture, and data engineering.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions, ensuring alignment with the overall IT strategy.
- Oversee the implementation of API management platforms and best practices, including API security, versioning, and documentation.
- Ensure seamless integration of APIs with backend services, databases, and third-party applications within cloud environments.
- Continuously monitor and optimize API performance, scalability, and reliability in cloud environments.
- Act as the primary technical liaison between business units, development teams, and cloud service providers.
- Mentor and guide junior developers and engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
