Remote Application Development Security Operations Engineer Job in California, United States California Department of Managed Health Care

Who you are

• Ability to effectively work remotely from home or in a downtown Sacramento office
• Completion of an online examination and authorization to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future
• Knowledge of secure coding practices security hardening network designs implementation recommendations and troubleshooting of cloud and on-premises architecture
• Experience in establishing documenting and maintaining an application security program
• Proficiency in handling information security policy and procedures
• Knowledge of State and Federal regulation including NIST 800-53 and NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF) State Information Management Manual (SIMM) or State Administrative Manual (SAM)
• Incident Response experience
• Skill in monitoring consumption of cloud resources application performance and systems security posture
• Experience with Microsoft cloud applications such as Sentinel Azure and Defender

What the job involves

• Work both independently and as part of the Information Security team to support the improvement of the department’s information security program
• Ensure the confidentiality security and availability of department information resources
• Manage cloud and on-premises information security technology systems and services
• Handle information security operations and incident response
• Conduct information security audits and assessments
• Develop and enforce information security policy procedures and compliance reporting
