Day to day
- Responsible for installing and configuring software applications on servers and workstations This includes setting up databases configuring application settings and integrating with other systems
- Monitor the performance and availability of applications ensuring they are running smoothly and meeting service level agreements Perform routine maintenance tasks such as applying patches and updates optimizing performance and troubleshooting issues
- Provide technical support to end-users assisting with application-related issues answering questions and resolving problems Conduct training sessions or create user guides to help users effectively utilize the applications
- Implement security measures such as user access controls firewalls and encryption to protect applications and data Ensure compliance with data protection regulations Implement backup and recovery strategies to safeguard against data loss
- Analyze application performance metrics identify bottlenecks and implement solutions to optimize performance Fine-tune application settings upgrade hardware or implement caching mechanisms
- Manage integration of applications with other systems such as databases APIs and third-party applications Oversee data extraction transformation and loading ensuring data integrity and accuracy
