- 5+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering
- Initial leadership experience such as tech leading mentoring or guiding small groups
- Production-level experience designing and reviewing dbt models
- Production-level experience with data pipelines hosted on Google Cloud BigQuery
- Expert-level SQL skills
- Strong Python scripting capabilities for pipeline orchestration
- Practical experience running agile ways of working
- Natural drive to take ownership of delivery commitments
- Professional English language skills B2 or higher

- Terraform familiarity
- PySpark familiarity
- Apache Iceberg familiarity
- Delta Lake familiarity

Day to day
- Lead a small team of 2-4 data engineers while staying technically hands-on
- Run agile ceremonies and own quarterly OKRs to keep delivery focused and accountable
- Design build and review dbt models and BigQuery pipelines to make data reliable performant and actionable
