Requirements
- 5+ years of professional backend experience
- Deep expertise in Node.js and PHP
- Strong Node.js/TypeScript production experience
- Experience with Laravel, Symfony, CodeIgniter or similar
- Strong relational database experience with MySQL or PostgreSQL
- Proven RESTful API design and operations experience
- Comfortable using AI tools like Claude Code or Cursor
- Proficiency with Git and collaborative workflows
- Working knowledge of HTML CSS and JavaScript
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills
- Ability to own problems end-to-end
- Ability to work effectively in a small fast-paced team
Day to day
- Design, build, and scale backend services in Node.js and PHP that power iOS, Android, and web platforms.
- Own core APIs end-to-end, from schema design and implementation through monitoring, performance tuning, and production iteration.
- Build and operate large-scale data and media pipelines for ingestion, processing, storage, and global delivery.
- Help shape AI-powered consumer experiences by integrating LLMs and ML services into production systems.
