Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in modern software development with scalable maintainable systems
- Strong expertise in system design architecture Node.js and TypeScript
- Production experience with location-based systems geospatial data geo indexing proximity queries and mapping surfaces
- Experience building search systems including relevance ranking and Elasticsearch or similar for a consumer product
- Strong data fundamentals across PostgreSQL and MongoDB including indexing and query performance
- Startup or fast-moving environment experience
- Enthusiasm for AI tools and willingness to adopt emerging best practices quickly

Day to day
- Own key components of core discovery services with a focus on maps location surfaces and directory search experiences.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with UX designers data scientists and product teams to deliver user-centered solutions.
- Navigate the full SDLC using agile methodologies and CI/CD best practices while improving user experiences through feedback loops and data-driven methods.
