Requirements
- 3-5+ years of progressively responsible software engineering experience
- Extensive experience with Python FastAPI Postgres AWS Docker Kubernetes and Terraform
- Experience architecting and building APIs and backend services
- Experience working on multi-tenant services on public cloud platforms like AWS Azure or GCP
- Demonstrated knowledge of at least one commercial cloud platform and associated services
- Experience developing and consuming APIs and services within a platform ecosystem
- Strong focus on automation and security
- Ability to own a technical problem end-to-end
- Self-directed learning of new technologies
- Ability to work well with a team
- Ability to communicate clearly
- Comfort working with ambiguity and self-direction
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance
- Must be a U.S. citizen national lawful permanent resident refugee or asylee or eligible for required authorizations

Day to day
- Lead the development of core backend platform services for space communications and data transport.
- Design scalable systems that support operations for a wide variety of US Government satellites.
- Work as both an individual contributor and a technical lead, guiding more junior engineers with clear, collaborative leadership.
