5+ years experience building and operating production backend systems
Strong experience with Python
Hands-on use of Flask or similar frameworks
Solid understanding of Postgres including schemas migrations query performance and transactions
Experience designing and maintaining REST APIs
Comfortable shipping in cloud environments ideally AWS
Working knowledge of modern CI/CD pipelines
Strong quality mindset with focus on maintainability security reliability and clear documentation

Design, build, and ship reliable backend services and APIs in Python that power core product functionality.
Own features end-to-end from data modelling and API design to testing production rollout and ongoing improvements.
Improve service reliability and operability through monitoring alerting logging runbooks and reduced on-call toil.
Work closely with the technical team to scope product ideas and deliver customer-facing outcomes.
Contribute to delivery practices with CI/CD improvements incremental shipping and a high-quality codebase.
