- 3+ years building and operating production backend services primarily in Go
- Strong foundation in data structures algorithms and software design
- Go idioms including concurrency context generics and modules
- GRPC and Protocol Buffers service design streaming RPCs and schema evolution
- API design versioning strategy and resource-oriented filtering pagination and ordering
- PostgreSQL data modeling query patterns and migrations
- Event-driven and asynchronous architectures with messaging workers and dead-letter handling
- OpenTelemetry observability including traces metrics and structured logging
- CI/CD pipelines with containerized builds automated test and deploy
- Terraform and modular IaC with multi-environment infrastructure
- Testing discipline in Go including table-driven tests mocks fakes and integration tests

Day to day
- Build and operate core backend services in Go that power the platform's user-facing surface and internal data pipelines
- Design gRPC and protobuf APIs end to end, including contracts, versioning, filtering, pagination, and safe schema evolution
- Develop event-driven and asynchronous systems such as Pub/Sub workflows, background workers, and reliable job queues with dead-letter handling
- Model PostgreSQL data, write scalable migrations, and support observability, CI/CD, and Terraform-managed infrastructure across environments
