Who you are

• Experience in programming using R and/or Python, and familiarity with Perl, C, C++, Java, JavaScript, or Scala.
• Proficiency in cloud platforms like GCP and AWS.
• Knowledge of data ingestion, processing pipelines, and data storage methodologies for genomic data.
• Experience in building and managing databases for biological data.
• Ability to write optimised SQL queries.
• Experience in high-performance computing and orchestration frameworks.

What the job involves

• Utilise R and/or Python, along with other programming languages like Perl, C, C++, Java, JavaScript or Scala.
• Work with cloud platforms predominantly GCP and AWS.
• Implement and manage data ingestion modules for genomic and molecular data sources.
• Ensure robust data processing pipelines and workflows for large-scale genomic data.
• Build and manage databases or warehouses for biological data storage and access.
• Utilise orchestration and high-performance computing frameworks.
• Write efficient SQL queries for data manipulation and analysis.
• Build and maintain GUI, dashboards, and website front-ends for data exploration and workflow execution.
• Oversee and lead the design and support of new pipelines and workflows on high-performance computing infrastructures.
