Who you are

  • Extensive experience (7-10 years) analysing carbon credit methodologies and climate mitigation activities.
  • Experience managing climate-related processes and technical documents in a secretariat environment.
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain effective cross-functional working relationships.
  • Excellent report writing and research paper production skills.
  • Broad knowledge of carbon markets and climate change.
  • Strong client and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to translate technical information for non-technical audiences.

Desirables

  • Experience in start-up environments.
  • International experience.
  • Experience with multi-agency project teams.



What the job involves

  • Provide technical expertise to assess carbon credits and programs against Core Carbon Principles.
  • Contribute to developing future versions of the Assessment Framework.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to support committees and working groups with research and analysis.

Its purpose is to ensure the voluntary carbon market contributes to the goals of the Paris Agreement by mobilizing finance into projects and programs that reduce or remove greenhouse gas emissions in the atmosphere. This ensures the voluntary market operates for the public good – while minimizing social and environmental harms. The Integrity Council develops standards according to the world’s best available science and policy expertise, and through public consultation.
