Requirements
- Strong professional experience developing backend services and APIs in Java
- Hands-on experience designing, deploying, and operating applications on GCP
- Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs with authentication and authorization patterns
- Experience with image-centric workflows including capture, ingestion, object storage, transformation, and metadata management
- Experience integrating AI capabilities such as OCR, extraction, redaction, or search
- Knowledge of secure engineering practices including IAM, least privilege, secrets management, encryption, and audit logging
- Familiarity with CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code such as Terraform
- Strong troubleshooting skills for cloud applications including defect triage and performance tuning
- Strong collaboration and communication skills across engineering, QA, DevOps, product, and security stakeholders

Day to day
- Design, develop, and maintain Java-based cloud-native applications on Google Cloud Platform
- Build secure and scalable services for image capture, processing, storage, retrieval, and distribution
- Implement RESTful APIs, image processing pipelines, and AI-enabled features such as OCR, classification, redaction, and search
- Collaborate with DevOps, QA, Product Management, and security teams to deliver reliable, compliant solutions
