Requirements

  • Extensive experience designing building and administering internet-based full stack commercial applications
  • Extensive experience managing data-centric web-based applications
  • Experience with container and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Hands-on experience with cloud formation or Terraform templates
  • Practical experience with cross-platform scripting and automation
  • Experience managing and optimizing cloud-based environments primarily AWS
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products including Word PowerPoint Excel Outlook and Visio
  • Experience with Jenkins and continuous integration
  • Experience with infrastructure as code tooling such as CloudFormation Terraform or Chef
  • Experience with Atlassian products including Jira Confluence and Bitbucket
  • Experience with middleware and B2B gateway products
  • Knowledge of SQL and Unix or Linux shell scripting
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional or similar experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to think critically and solve problems
  • Ability to manage time and multiple priorities
  • Ability to document and update standard operating procedures
  • Disciplined detail-oriented and well organized with strong operational methodology
  • Ability to work with varied technical levels across departments
  • Solid analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science Information Systems or related field or equivalent work experience

Day to day

  • Design, install, and maintain development testing and production cloud environments with strong operational discipline
  • Monitor cloud applications and services using health indicators trend analysis and anomaly detection tools
  • Automate builds deployments and infrastructure using IaC CI CD and scripting to support reliable scalable releases
