Requirements
- Demonstrable experience in a similar design role within construction or building services
- Strong working knowledge of CAD software including 2D and 3D drawing capability
- Ability to produce compliant accurate technical designs schematics and detailed drawings
- Experience interpreting and applying relevant standards and regulations including BS EN and NFPA standards
- Proficient in Microsoft Office particularly Excel and Word
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines
- Effective communication and collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Strong attention to detail with a structured methodical approach to design and document control
- Client-facing experience with the ability to present and justify design decisions professionally
- Experience managing or mentoring junior design staff

Day to day
- Lead and deliver technical design solutions across multiple projects from concept to completion
- Produce and oversee accurate drawings calculations and documentation to support project delivery and installation
- Work closely with sales commercial operations and service teams to ensure practical cost-effective compliant designs
- Mentor junior design staff review technical submissions and contribute to innovation and best practice
