Who you are

• Must be based in the UK with the legal right to work.
• Strong experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js.
• Proven experience as a Technical Lead or in a similar leadership role.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
• Prior experience in leading significant software development projects.
• Familiarity with modern frontend development tools such as React.
• Knowledge in designing and maintaining SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with containerisation (Docker/Kubernetes) and appreciation for CI/CD practices.

What the job involves

• Contribute as a key member of the technical leadership team for Product Development.
• Collaborate with Architects and Team Leads to make and record evidence-based architectural decisions.
• Manage a team of up to 5 Software Engineers and 1 QA Engineer.
• Mentor less experienced engineers and impact across other teams.
• Build and lead a team in a supportive and fun working environment.
• Own and take responsibility for the end-to-end development of software applications.
• Develop robust and scalable JavaScript/TypeScript applications.
• Spearhead the creation of technical roadmaps and the research of new solutions.
• Liaise closely with the Systems Engineering team for the development of on-prem hardware applications.
• Oversea release management and maintain high coding standards through code reviews.
