Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or 10 years of relevant software development leadership experience including software deployments
- Experience leading a team of 8+ engineers and DevOps staff
- Experience solving complex business solutions with technology
- Experience with AI-first design and development practices
- Proven success driving growth profitability and process efficiencies within a technology company or division
- Minimum of 4 years delivering small medium and large software projects
- Ability to translate customer requirements into functional specifications for enhancements interfaces and reports
- Manage and adhere to a change management process to control scope and profitability
- Ability to drive quality UI front-end development
- Experience managing budgets including personnel and hardware investments
- Deep knowledge of DevOps and hosting practices for a multi-continent platform
- Proven experience building machine learning models at scale
- Strong analytical and strategic action-oriented mindset
- High energy and sense of urgency
- Ability to travel occasionally

Day to day
- Lead and coach a distributed engineering team across DevOps software development and QA in Canada and India
- Define and execute the engineering vision and R&D strategy with senior leadership to support product priorities and growth
- Oversee platform modernization DevOps cybersecurity IT operations and delivery of the NextGen product roadmap
- Track engineering performance metrics capacity quality and backlog trends and report progress to leadership regularly
- Drive process improvements technical mentoring AI adoption and cross functional collaboration to improve execution and profitability
