Who you are

• 8+ years of software engineering experience including coding and architectural design
• 3+ years managing distributed software engineering teams
• Knowledge of native mobile development (iOS and Android)
• Experience with web development (TypeScript and React)
• Experience with cross-platform development (React Native and Flutter)
• Broad skill base in business technology user experience and leadership
• Proven ability to deliver complex projects spanning months of development
• Experience coaching and mentoring at various experience levels

What the job involves

• Offer technical guidance and experience to the team including architectural decisions code reviews and best practices
• Jump into the code spending 30% of your time hands-on coding
• Evaluate competing issues and assess the product with an entrepreneurial attitude
• Work with teams across Brightwell to deliver projects on time and within scope
• Implement improvements in engineering processes tools and architecture to deliver key initiatives
• Act as a spokesperson and champion for the engineering team
• Mentor coach and use metrics to influence continuous engineering improvement
• Stay on top of current industry trends and best practices ensuring an optimized software engineering environment
