Requirements
- At least 10 years experience in software development
- At least 3 years leading teams
- Experience in SaaS cloud-based platforms
- Strong technical leadership in real-time data-driven applications and event-driven architectures
- Experience with Agile methodologies and delivery frameworks
- Strong grasp of architecture and architectural decision making
- Solid understanding of CI/CD code reviews test automation observability performance management and security
- Practical experience embedding AI tools in engineering teams with measurable results
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and grow technical leaders
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across functions
- Experience with containerisation and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes in GCP or AWS
- Success decomposing monolithic applications into asynchronous event-based microservices
- Deep understanding of event-driven design patterns in scalable SaaS platforms
- Familiarity with message brokers and event streaming technologies

Day to day
- Oversee up to four engineering teams with Technical Leads and guide them toward strong delivery outcomes
- Drive technical excellence across architecture infrastructure and engineering practices to improve resilience quality and speed
- Foster innovation collaboration and operational rigour while aligning engineering work with business goals and product direction
