Requirements
- Proven engineering management experience with distributed or remote-first teams across multiple time zones
- A strong technical background in software engineering with enough depth to guide architectural and infrastructure decisions

- Track record of hiring well onboarding effectively and building teams that retain good people
- A focus on engineering quality including observability analytics reporting testing practices and shipping work the team can stand behind

Day to day
- Own the health output and growth of a distributed engineering team across time zones.
- Partner closely with product management to shape roadmaps and balance feature delivery technical investment and operational health.
- Set a high quality bar for observability reliability testing and review practices while handling incidents and follow-up work.
- Contribute to engineering-wide standards tooling process improvements and initiatives that help engineers grow across the organisation.
