Requirements
- Proven experience as a Game Designer with a focus on adventure and puzzle game design, with at least one shipped title
- Strong portfolio showcasing 3D level design, particularly for adventure exploration and puzzle-based games
- Expertise in Unity, with hands-on experience in building levels using Unity’s toolset
- In-depth knowledge of level design principles, including puzzle mechanics, player engagement, and progression systems
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to offer creative solutions to design challenges
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team
Nice to have
- Experience with Agile development practices
- A keen understanding of player psychology
- Artistic skills such as drawing or 3D modeling are a plus
Day to day
- Design and develop adventure exploration levels filled with unique puzzles, interactive elements, and hidden rewards
- Collaborate with the narrative team to ensure story elements are naturally integrated into the levels
- Prototype, test, and refine level designs using Unity, ensuring balance, challenge, and player engagement
- Build levels directly in Unity, placing assets and puzzles to craft a cohesive game world
- Conduct playtesting sessions to gather player feedback and iterate on designs
- Document level design processes, layouts, and flowcharts to guide the production process
- Stay updated on the latest industry trends, particularly in adventure, puzzle, and exploration games
