Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Game Designer with a focus on adventure and puzzle game design, with at least one shipped title
  • Strong portfolio showcasing 3D level design, particularly for adventure exploration and puzzle-based games
  • Expertise in Unity, with hands-on experience in building levels using Unity’s toolset
  • In-depth knowledge of level design principles, including puzzle mechanics, player engagement, and progression systems
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to offer creative solutions to design challenges
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team

Nice to have

  • Experience with Agile development practices
  • A keen understanding of player psychology
  • Artistic skills such as drawing or 3D modeling are a plus

Day to day

  • Design and develop adventure exploration levels filled with unique puzzles, interactive elements, and hidden rewards
  • Collaborate with the narrative team to ensure story elements are naturally integrated into the levels
  • Prototype, test, and refine level designs using Unity, ensuring balance, challenge, and player engagement
  • Build levels directly in Unity, placing assets and puzzles to craft a cohesive game world
  • Conduct playtesting sessions to gather player feedback and iterate on designs
  • Document level design processes, layouts, and flowcharts to guide the production process
  • Stay updated on the latest industry trends, particularly in adventure, puzzle, and exploration games
