Requirements
- 10+ years software engineering experience with back-end focus
- 5+ years leading engineering teams
- Experience in cybersecurity for financial services firms preferred
- Experience scaling modern SaaS or fintech platforms in cloud-native environments
- Strong familiarity with AWS React React Native Storybook Node Python API and event architecture and ORM tools
- Experience with multi-platform apps across Windows macOS iOS Android and browser-based apps
- Experience with Claude Code or other AI development tools
- Best practices in component-based app development
- Experience with SOC 2 CIS Benchmarks DDoS mitigation and security best practices
- Successful hiring mentoring and leading high-performing engineering organizations
- Experience implementing security programs cloud infrastructure and engineering operational excellence in regulated or security-sensitive environments
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field or equivalent experience

Day to day
- Lead Sphere's engineering strategy and build a secure scalable resilient technology platform.
- Own software engineering infrastructure and cybersecurity while improving reliability performance and compliance.
