Requirements

  • 1-3 years of HR experience in a mid-size company
  • Working knowledge of basic HR laws and applications and a strong grasp of federal & state employment laws
  • Solid interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, follow through and time management skills
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and an HR Information System (ADP experience preferred)
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Day to day

  • The Human Resources Specialist administers the operational function of the HR department, including ensuring legal compliance, supporting talent acquisition, managing onboarding and offboarding, completing HRIS transactions, managing and auditing files, running reports, analyzing HR data
  • Serves as the first point of contact for general employee inquiries
  • Reports to the VP of HR
