- Strong research and writing skills
- Significant knowledge of the human rights context in at least one region of the world or human rights issues facing vulnerable and marginalized groups
- Knowledge of how to apply legal standards to the facts of specific cases
- Knowledge of human rights and/or anti-corruption concepts, methods, statutes, and instruments
- Strong organizational skills
- Interns must be located in the United States
Nice to have
- Strong research and writing skills
- Knowledge of human rights context in at least one region
- Knowledge of human rights issues
- Ability to apply legal standards to specific cases
- Knowledge of human rights and anti-corruption concepts
- Strong organizational skills
- Foreign language skills desirable
Day to day
- Assist with research and analysis for advocacy of U.S. targeted sanctions against human rights abusers and corrupt officials
- Perform legal and policy background research and maintain databases
- Conduct research and draft materials to support Congressional advocacy efforts
