Requirements
- Extensive experience within the insurance industry particularly in cross class claims handling and risk management.
- Ability to work at the level of a Head of with extensive knowledge in insurance industry practices.
- High levels of self-motivation and initiative to resolve problems and improve processes.
- Excellent computer literacy and project management skills involving internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong relationship building skills with a confident telephone manner.
- Ability to work effectively in a pressurised environment and manage own and team’s workload.
- Prior experience of leading developing and motivating a team.

Day to day
- Take responsibility for the company’s diverse insurance portfolio alongside overall responsibility for the Insurance & Claims function.
- Assist in delivering the company’s strategic insurance priorities including areas such as policy structure and claims management.
- Actively manage and lead the Insurance & Risk Team fostering a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
- Shape the direction of the wider Finance function and align it with overall business goals.
- Identify and implement improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the areas under responsibility.
- Manage the renewal process & placement of all policies for the UK business.
- Oversee and handle all major & complex claims across all classes of insurance.
- Provide and collate insurance data to the business for various purposes including insurance renewal claims data and premium recharging.
- Act as Subject Matter Expert for internal and external stakeholders.
