Who you are

• Extensive experience within the insurance industry particularly in cross class claims handling and risk management.
• Ability to work at the level of a Head of with extensive knowledge in insurance industry practices.
• High levels of self-motivation and initiative to resolve problems and improve processes.
• Excellent computer literacy and project management skills involving internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong relationship building skills with a confident telephone manner.
• Ability to work effectively in a pressurised environment and manage own and team’s workload.
• Prior experience of leading developing and motivating a team.

What the job involves

• Take responsibility for the company’s diverse insurance portfolio alongside overall responsibility for the Insurance & Claims function.
• Assist in delivering the company’s strategic insurance priorities including areas such as policy structure and claims management.
• Actively manage and lead the Insurance & Risk Team fostering a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
• Shape the direction of the wider Finance function and align it with overall business goals.
• Identify and implement improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the areas under responsibility.
• Manage the renewal process & placement of all policies for the UK business.
• Oversee and handle all major & complex claims across all classes of insurance.
• Provide and collate insurance data to the business for various purposes including insurance renewal claims data and premium recharging.
• Act as Subject Matter Expert for internal and external stakeholders.
